Today’s youth are navigating a perfect storm of financial instability and psychological distress. Nationally, over 40% of Americans under 30 are struggling to survive, a crisis felt most acutely by women and those without college degrees. In Houston specifically, the situation has reached a breaking point: psychiatric emergency room visits among children have skyrocketed by 800%, with hundreds of youth seeking crisis intervention every month. This environment has contributed to rising rates of bullying, juvenile justice involvement, and social unrest.
A significant factor driving these trends is a lack of "real-world" readiness. Many young people lack the foundational life skills required to transition into adulthood, such as:
-
Financial Literacy: Understanding how money and banking work.
-
Professionalism: Mastering interviews, job applications, and networking.
-
Emotional Intelligence: Managing stress, resolving conflict, and leading others.

We aim to provide an alternative to negative influences for those aged 16–28 through immersive group learning. By focusing on transferable soft skills, we equip participants to move beyond mere survival toward economic empowerment.
We use theatre not just as a tool to entertain, but to have meaningful conversations about issues in our community.
We invite you to join us as we inspire young minds and talk about what really matters.
